Tour overview

The Mayan ruins in the ancient city of Chichen Itza have been named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Part of the tour includes a stop in the colonial city of Valladolid and a visit to Ik Kil cenote. The Mayan culture will amaze you as you enjoy the excursion to Chichen Itza and a craft store for souvenirs from the region. You'll also enjoy lunch and music at a colonial style restaurant.  Once you arrive to Chichen Itza, a federally-certified bilingual guide will walk you through the wonders of the site. You will also have the chance to explore the awe-inspiring archeological site on your own. In the spring and autumn, admire a unique spectacle: the Equinox. As the sun rises and sets, it casts a shadow on the main pyramid steps along the north side in the shape of a moving serpent. This effect is a symbol of the Kukulkan (feathered serpent) god's descent.
